Noisejihad

Noisejihad is a booker-team closely connected to Det Jyske Kunstakademi (The Jylland Art Academy) focused on bringing noise-music to Århus (and Ålborg) since 1997.

Noisejihad also runs the net-label Noisejihad Live concerned with recordings of these concerts. Here are a couple of Danish highlights, all of which are primarily computerbased noise-ambient acts:

Computer-noise-ambient. One 55-minute-long soundscape.

Gloomy, gloomy ambience and horror-noise the wäldchengarten way.

NJL013 - Wäldchengarten and Respirator . download Wäldchengarten . download Respirator . download cover
The wäldchengarten track is almost the same as the above, but 4 seconds shorter. A bit less moody, a bit more noisy. The track by Respirator is a relatively short one of melodic glitch-ambient. Dreamy.

One long unfriendly piece of shrieks and screams recorded back in 05.

NJL014 - Lisbeth Og Bent and Jens Robot . download Lisbent . download Jens Robot . download cover
Two of Denmarks premier breakcore/trashcore/danceable cutup-acts in one place. Worth the while.

Exquisite russian brides part two

.Exquisite russian brides - skylight . cat box corp. 2004 . cd-r . unlimited (but currently oop) . download
The second release by erb. If you liked 'exquisite russian brides', you will like this one too. Still creepy ambience, friendly blissnoise, holy drones, and dreamscapes, though more diverse than the first release.

Marc Gade

A true gemm from the more obscure side of Århusian underground. This is an unreleased private recording of a set by Marc Gade recorded at a music festival in Århus Kunstbygning, 2007. One half hour of hypnotic collage/soundscape and dreamlike sound-images.

And an advertisement: The new Danish imprint 'relax with nature' just released three new Dreamers Cloth cassettes. If you liked the first tape, you want to get a hold of these. Faded and slightly distorted polaroids of a soundtrack for gathering crystals off the ocean floor, assisted by dolphins, breathing in the azure water.
